Job Summary/Description:

WAFB is looking for a News Operations Manager to join our award-winning news team at one of the highest-rated television stations in the country.

WAFB-TV has a rare opening for a News Operations Manager. The person holding this key position in our newsroom makes sure that news operations (live shots, fleet. equipment, feeds, etc.) are in working order, particularly during breaking news and wall-to-wall coverage.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Maintain newsroom software and hardware supply and storage
* Oversee training for editing and storage software for news personnel
* Perform monthly testing of all live equipment
* Research and fulfill all archival news requests
* Oversee newsroom drone operations
* Maintain updated newsroom evacuation plan

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Great communicator
* Experience in news operations preferred
