DESCRIPTION
KWWL, the NBC affiliate serving eastern Iowa, needs an experienced meteorologist who understands the importance of severe storm coverage. From spring and summer tornadoes such as the Marshalltown tornado to winter blizzards, we see it all. We need someone who is a great forecaster, good communicator and calm under pressure.
JOB EXPERIENCE
We have a four-person weather team, the next generation in weather graphics and storm tracking with the WSI Max system and live cameras throughout the DMA. Plus, we have all the other tools you need to be successfully tell your weather story.
REQUIREMENTS
You'll forecast for various newscasts and platforms. You'll also do live shots from major breaking weather stories across the 21 counties we serve in eastern Iowa. This is a full-time weather position. Four year college degree in meteorology preferred and be detailed, organized, accurate and creative.
