KWQC-TV6 is looking for a dynamic professional to anchor our weekday morning newscasts. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned journalist to move into a leadership role at the number one station in the Quad Cities. We want someone who will lead by example in the newsroom. The successful candidate should be an energetic "morning person." We need someone who can solo-anchor and help produce when necessary for two hours. The morning anchor will also be involved in the day-to-day operations of the newsroom and be a mentor to staff members.


– A college degree in journalism broadcasting or related field.  
– Experience is a plus.  
–  In lieu of a college degree, applicants with 2 or more years of experience in the broadcast or forecasting industry will 
be considered.


– Knowledge and experience with HTML and the capabilities of Web browsers is needed along with knowledge of Photoshop, Google drive and apps, etc. – A strong candidate already knows how to write for web-based platforms and can work under intense deadlines.
