About WOIO/WUAB:
WOIO-19 and WUAB TV are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL, the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 69.5 hours of live, local news, weather and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and WUAB, and 10+ hours of news on WTCL/WOHZ.
Job Summary/Description:
WOIO Cleveland Ohio is seeking a Videographer/Storyteller. This could be your chance to capture and tell stories of the communities we serve and be a part of the fastest growing News station in Cleveland.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
– We have an immediate opening for a full-time Videographer/Editor to work with reporters and independently as a member of our news team.
– We need someone with a creative eye, technical expertise, and a can-do attitude.
– You'll also need to understand the importance of visual composition, natural sound, and quality lighting.
– The successful candidate must be able to deliver great videos daily under heavy deadline in a very competitive market.
– Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and News Director
– Be available for overtime, overnights, morning shifts and sometimes extended out-of-town assignments.

JOB EXPERIENCE
– Have a solid understanding of news program production
– Degree in journalism/communications with videography and non-linear editing preferred
– Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills (experience wtih Edius is a plus)
– Strong photography skills and ability to think creatively under constant deadline pressure
– Skilled in lighting under various conditions
– Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
REQUIREMENTS
– Applicant must have three (3) years experience as news Videographer/Editing
– A demo reel is required
– Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Valid driver's license
