WWJ-AM Traffic Center is looking for a dynamic and talented professional to work as a traffic reporter/editor for the Traffic Team on Saturdays and Sundays.  Editor duties include: Gather, write, and select traffic stories to run in radio traffic reports, over air, on line, and on social media platforms.  Supervise all traffic operations in the production, writing, and presentation of traffic reports and digital content.  Must plan and prepare for upcoming traffic coverage for planned, as well as unplanned traffic events.



What You'll Do:

– Voice traffic reports on Audacy stations to air on broadcast and digital platforms

– gather, write, record, edit, and deliver traffic reports as oulined by Audacy

– Monitor traffid gathering data assets (traffic cameras, scanner listening, etc.)

– Post, edit, and manage traffic information to the Audacy social media accounts

– Provide live reads of traffic sponsors within designated reports

– Make station appearances as required

– Other duties as required by management

– Position offers SAG-AFTRA benefits and applicant must be willing to join SAG AFTRA union


– must have valid driver's license

– must be fully vaccinated

– knowledge of Detroit area traffic geography

– minimum of two years traffic or news reporting

– must be computer literate, have excellent writing and presentation skills

– must be experienced story teller in broadcast industry
