JOB EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS
WJAC-TV has an exciting opportunity for a Sports Multimedia Journalist. Your responsibilities as a Sports MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing sports and news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is required.
Skills:
- Sharp news judgment
- Excellent technical skills
- The ability to work well independently
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
Required Experience:
- Covering local sports events
- Preferred experience of reporting on a major Division I university
- Non-linear editing (on Avid a plus)
- Shooting, writing and editing your own stories each day
- Some basic experience with anchoring and producing a plus
- Experience with live shots is required
- Experience with Live-U is a plus
Skills and Experience:
- Sharp news judgment
- The ability to tell an NPPA style story
- Excellent technical skills
- The ability to work well independently
- Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
Requirements and Qualifications:
