The Position: Located in Traverse City, Michigan, we are seeking a motivated sales professional with proven experience working with local businesses to help them achieve their marketing goals. We want you on our team as a Sales Account Executive. Benefits include an excellent base salary plus unlimited commission, bonus plan, paid time off, and outstanding health benefits.

You’re good at:

  • Understanding MyNorth Media and Heritage Broadcasting advertising opportunities and tools to help build relevant advertising solutions for our advertisers and deliver the highest level of sales and customer service to them.
  • Initiating sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements.
  • Closing sales by building rapport with potential account; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Expanding sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services.
  • Utilizing Sales CRM tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve quarterly quota goals.
  • Driving deals to closure in a new business environment and retain and grow revenue from existing advertisers.
  • Providing world-class customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Independent, organized, and ambitious person who builds relationships, accounts and who believes in consultative selling as well as commitment to the company's vision.
  • Strong data entry skills and an excellent attention to details is required.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with Sales team members and other support functions is critical.
  • Adapt to change quickly as well as be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset, ready to work with multiple departments
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel is required; any experience in CRM, or data entry software is preferred.
