DESCRIPTION
97.1 The Fan and 1460 ESPN in Columbus has an excellent opportunity for a highly creative On-Air Producer.
Responsibilities:
The producer is responsible for producing compelling and informative sports talk shows, developing show content, coordinating the booking of show guests, as well as the operation of studio equipment. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong on-air presence to participate in the show, host, co-host, and/or deliver live or recorded updates. In addition to producing live shows, the producer could produce pre-recorded material and/or produce live sports play by play broadcasts. The producer is also responsible for the successful posting of each show's podcast as well as editing and posting show segments on station digital products.
JOB EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate has excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to run radio control board and automation equipment, audio editing proficiency, and extensive knowledge of sports. Previous experience in commercial sports radio and college degree strongly preferred.
