JOB DESCRIPTION:   KWQC-TV6 is looking for an effective and energetic Anchor.  In addition to being an outstanding journalist, you need to be a team leader. This ideal candidate will display professionalism and personality, both on and off air.   Our anchors are leaders who participate in the planning of our newscasts and help produce content.  Candidates must also possess strong presentation skills, strong work ethic, broad knowledge of current affairs, the ability to work effectively with a team of professionals, have a strong social media presence.



Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Produce and write newscasts as needed
• Find creative ways to showcase newscast
• Anchor newscast
• Oversee news content
• Other duties as assigned
• Digital



Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience.



  • Demonstrated track record of covering news
  • At least three years' experience as a reporter or anchor
  • Confident & experienced performance on-air
  • Ability to handle breaking news on-air, on digital and behind the scenes
