DESCRIPTION
Newscast Video Editor (Full-time)
WLNE-TV/ABC6, the ABC affiliate in beautiful Providence, RI is looking for a full-time Newscast Editor. The ideal candidate will be innovative and will bring creativity to their style of editing for the newscasts. In addition, the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, with an eye for accuracy and precision.
Responsibilities:
*Edit video for for one or more daily newscasts
*Conduct quality control checks for video across newscasts
*Edit story packages and long-form stories as-needed
*Shoot video in the field as-needed
*Assist assignment desk in daily newsgathering
*Write for the WLNE media platforms and assist the assignment desk.
Qualifications:
* Ability to meet deadlines throughout the work day
*Strong communication skills. The Associate Producer will work closely with the newscast producer, assignment desk, photographers, reporters and anchors to create high quality news content each day.
*Strong video editing skills
*Knowledge of a working newsroom and Adobe Premiere preferred
