The Multi-platform Producer will write, edit, research, and set up guest interviews for broadcasts.


  • Research for facts and credibility
  • Set up stories and/or interviews for newscasts and/or digital platforms. Write segments for broadcast.
  • Maintain guest calendar for mornings and afternoon shows.
  • Communicate with newsroom when new information is learned. Prepare talking points for anchors.
  • Creates details plans for daily guest segments.
  • Sets up Zooms, runs Zoom interviews during newscasts. Operates teleprompter when needed.
  • Use social media and digital tools, as well as traditional methods, to research, discover and flush out new content/story ideas. Work with newsroom tools and showcase social media content within broadcasts.
  • Attend editorial meetings and offer input.
  • Work with desk, managers, technical team to establish logistical needs for special shoots and/or assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned




  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience required
  • 2-5 years’ newsroom planning experience
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Utilize AP style, as well as best web-production practices and story packaging
  • Non-Linear editing skills a plus.
  • Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
  • Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
