DESCRIPTION

A successful candidate will have the passion to work in the Broadcast Television industry with a

preferred 2-4 years of experience (can be concurrent). Should be familiar with technologies

such as: RF transmission (microwave, satellite, ATSC 1.0/3.0), computer automation systems,

video encoding/transcoding, audio/video formats, video/audio over IP, ENG systems,

Windows/Linux/OSX operating systems, streaming platforms (OTT, IPTV, PTP, SMPTE 2110,

DANTE, AES67).

Required:

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain technical equipment.

• Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures.

• Proficient in using hand and power tools.

• Strong knowledge of various broadcast & IT technologies.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Ability to follow and enforce safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to interact with team members and report maintenance findings clearly.

• Capacity to adapt to new technologies and maintenance methodologies.

• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

• Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

• Ability to interact with other department managers and teams in a professional and

customer friendly manner.

• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and effectively.

• Be part of a team that provides 24/7 /365 support. This includes working weekends,

holidays, early morning & late night shifts.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations.

• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment,

working from heights and working in various weather conditions.

• Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean driving record.


REQUIREMENTS

Preferred:

• Degree in Broadcast/Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• SBE Certification or related Military training a plus.
