DESCRIPTION

KATV in Little Rock, AR, has an immediate opening for a creative Lifestyle Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our Lifestyle Show. This position will also work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Hosts, and clients on the Lifestyle Show and its content. In this position you will determine the content and flow of the show, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our web site.

REQUIREMENTS

KATV in Little Rock, AR, has an immediate opening for a creative Lifestyle Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our Lifestyle Show.   This position will also work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Hosts, and clients on the Lifestyle Show and its content. In this position you will determine the content and flow of the show, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our web site.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid judgment
  • Be a compelling and accurate writer
  • Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Assists with all daily show preparation and content generation
  • Assist the Executive Producer with booking guests and writing teases
  • Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Experience with managing live shots is required
  • Experience with Live-U is a plus (delete)
  • Professional interaction and collaboration with clients and guests is required
  • The ability to carry out sales segments as assigned
  • Contributes content to the website and all digital platforms
  • Coordinate and Meet with Marketing Consultants and Mangers as assigned to schedule sales clients for interviews and shoots
  • Interacts with viewers on social media
  • Produce sales segments (live and pre-taped) in rundown
  • Create and order graphics for paid/non-paid segments
  • Select or provide b-roll for interviews
  • Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews

Experience:

  • Must have some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered
  • A journalism degree is preferred
