WJAC is hiring an Engineering Technician! Come be be apart of our team!

As an Engineering Technician, Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide support for broadcast systems as well as support and management of Servers, Network Security and Network Services.
Support for transmission systems, be familiar with tall towers, awareness of FCC rules and procedures
Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance.
Develop knowledge of facility specific IT/broadcast needs and assist in supporting those systems.
Apply regular updates to broadcast and IT systems.

Requirements:

Associates degree or higher in electronics or computer related field preferred.
A great team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality.
Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems a plus.
Knowledge and competency in broadcast systems, computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance.
Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and responding quickly under pressure.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Familiarity with Avid related software and hardware products a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed.
On-Call duty, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to handle small tools and lift equipment generally less than 50 pound
