Waterloo Media is a cluster of eight radio stations in Austin, TX that includes:  KLBJ-AM (590), Lucy (93.3), KLBJ-FM (93.7), Austin City Limits Radio (97.1), KROX (101.5), KBPA (103.5), ESPN (102.7), and KLZT (107.1).


Waterloo Media is searching for a Digital Content Producer to create valuable content for our online audiences. This position requires somebody who can manage multiple social media channels along with producing web content that suits each brand. The digital team needs an individual who is driven and motivated to help increase our online audience and engagement, all while creating entertaining content!

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Strive to make each brand authentic through catered projects, posts and stories
  • Research and write local and music news blogs
  • Update websites with blogs, photo galleries, contests, and events
  • Write copy for online campaigns and ads
  • Post content across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Capable of working independently and as part of the team when needed
  • Communicate and engage with followers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Build web pages and design graphics for contests and events
  • Analyze web and social data and present statistics 
  • Strategize and pitch ideas to improve online reach 
  • Email marketing: create and write newsletters
  • Live coverage of station events: includes shooting video, photographing and social media updates

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years in Digital Media
  • Capable of shooting, editing and live streaming video
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects
  • Avid social media user
  • Google Analytics 
  • Hootsuite or similar social media management software
  • Time management and ability to multi-task projects
  • Clear, concise communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Bachelor degree in Journalism, Radio, TV & Film or Advertising preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license and state mandated auto insurance is required
