DESCRIPTION

WWL-TV is looking for a digital content producer to help with an array of tasks including but not limited to: writing scripts from releases, TV scripts, live shots and press conferences, publishing video, creating video and images, posting to social media and sending news alerts.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping site and app up to date with latest news from a variety of sources, posting to social media, sending news alerts.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Ability to write strong and grammatically correct stories.
  • Solid news judgment.
  • Ability to work with the rest of the newsroom.
  • Understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere a plus.
  • Writing samples necessary.
  • Video editing examples a plus.
  • Will be required to take a writing and grammar test.

Work Environment: Office

Physical Demands: Light work

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
