DESCRIPTION

Mid-West Family in Springfield-IL is looking for an Account Manager to help coordinate marketing efforts internally and externally, to ensure customers (local businesses) achieve their desired business results while also receiving exceptional customer service.

Candidates should have strong communication skills, are very detail oriented, have above average computer skills, enjoy working in a very dynamic fast paced business environment, and be willing to become part of our people-focused growth culture. The individual(s) hired for this role will report to our Director of Sales & Business Development and work closely with other team managers.


JOB EXPERIENCE

Requirements:

  • Reliable, capable of handling daily deadlines and key job functions in a dynamic fast paced business environment

  • The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and have the ability to adapt to multiple programs

  • Previous experience in the broadcast industry is helpful but not required because we will train the right person to work with us and fit into our culture

  • 2+ years of sales (or sales support) experience is preferred but not required


REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Confirm orders are input correctly and align with insertion order 

  • Handle all makegoods 

  • Create launch brief and ensure proper implementation with launch team 

  • Take the lead on all fulfillment  

    • Internal coordination with all who are involved in fulfillment 

    • Client interface (for creative, etc.) 

    • Produce powerful Recaps for the AE to use to continue the sales process and upsell 

    • Study collections and attempt to clear up problems with client and determine when to bring AE into the process

Performance Tracking:  

  • Advertising customers receive strong return on investment 

  • Customers renew 

  • Customers increase spending

Leading indicators:  

  • AE turn account management over to AM 

  • Customers defer to AM as primary contact for all fulfillment 

  • AM takes the lead on all fulfillment, involving other team members where appropriate
