365 Health, formerly 9Health Fair, one of Colorado’s most loved non-profits, is seeking an experienced accounting professional with managerial experience to join our team as our hands-on Controller. Our vision is that everyone has the opportunity and progresses toward making health positive choices. This position plays a critical role in supporting our GAAP and Grant accounting & reporting, monthly GL close, annual audit & tax return, analysis, budgeting & forecasting, staff oversight and training, and financial support of our health fairs and other programs as required.

As a key member of 365 Health team, the Controller will report to the 365 Health Chief Financial Officer. He / She will provide financial support to 365 Health and its programs. We are guided by the brand promise – To help all people live their best life through optimal health – in all that we do.

The perfect candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and preferably a current, active CPA license, is organized; has a broad accounting background, managerial experience, and is mission oriented.



  • The Controller has a lot of responsibilities and is a key member of the 365 Health team. The Controller is responsible for at least the following tasks:
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process
  • Become the NetSuite expert and obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Ensure that transactions are properly accounted for per non-profit GAAP accounting and grant accounting
  • Oversee financial support provided to health fairs
  • Oversee accounts payable process with staff accountant to ensure accurate and timely processing and payments
  • Prepare the payroll journal entry. Once we transition to our new payroll provider, manage the payroll process as required with the new provider to include bi-weekly payroll, onboarding employees, benefits deductions, PTO, and grant time tracking
  • Provide day-to-day support and interface with PEO as needed for HR, benefits, & payroll.
  • Coordinate with the CFO on timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Assist the CFO in the daily banking requirements and cash management
  • Implement and enforce internal controls as required by 365 Health policy, laws, regulations, and contracts to manage compliance, risk and safeguard assets.
  • Support budgeting & forecasting and cash flow activities
  • Support ad hoc analysis and management reporting as required
  • Lead and facilitate successful annual audit and Form 990 tax return
  • Oversee timely 1099 filing annually
  • Partner with the Philanthropy team to ensure proper accounting and reporting for grants received
  • Oversee accurate and timely invoicing of revenue related grants, contracts, and services performed by 365 Health
  • Serve as back-up for staff accountant

  • Commitment to the mission of 365 Health
  • B.S. in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting experience with managerial experience. Accounting in a non-profit or health care organization a plus
  • 2 – 3 years of full cycle accounting with full responsibilities
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
  • Detail oriented; keen analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly accountable, transparent, trustworthy, discrete, and ethical
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in general accounting systems, particularly NetSuite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication; ability to multi-task

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.

Currently, 365 Health staff are working a mix of remote, with in office on an as needed bases.

Budgeted Compensation Range: $85,000 – $100,000
